Livingston Community Health Hosts Ribbon Cutting for Bentley Health Center
Waterford, CA— Bentley Health Center — Friday, Livingston Community Health hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at their Bentley Health Center, enabling patients and community members in Waterford California to walk through the facility and learn about the improved access to medical care being offered.
“We were honored to be joined today by officials from several government offices, the school district, local hospitals and clinics, and members of the community,” said Leslie McGowan, CEO at Livingston Community Health.
Positive Community Impact
Many patients have already benefited from Bentley Health Center. “Since December, this location has seen a number of patients and we are excited about the positive feedback we are getting from the community” said Allison Jeffery, Director of Administrative Services.
Hero of the Valley
In addition to the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and site tours, the clinic also welcomed the Central Valley Health Network (CVHN) to present the Hero of the Valley award to Assemblyman Adam Gray, D-Merced. Cathy Frey, CEO of CVHN noted the award was presented to Adam in thanks for his support of Community Health Centers and AB1130 a bill backed by Assemblyman Adam Gray, D-Merced, and signed in November by Gov. Jerry Brown, which allows part-time clinics to operate up to 30 hours a week, an increase from 20 hours. “For patients this means more access,” said Leslie McGowan, CEO at Livingston Community Health.
